My Training
1992-1995 : Bachelor of Science with Honours.
University of Sydney, Australia.
1996-2005 Water Resource Management/Wetlands Management/ Environmental Auditing
NSW Government & Abel Ecology
2008 – 2010 : Life Coach Training (Church Army, Australia).
Upon completion of my training I began coaching students participating in the CA Gap Year.
2012-2017 : Implemented the GAPS Nutritional Protocol for my family of 5.
This included two rounds through Intro. We have since transitioned off the GAPS diet and now practice a whole foods lifestyle. During this time I also started coaching other families on their GAPS journeys.
2016 : Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome (GAPS) Practitioner Training
In early 2016 I was fortunate enough to train as a GAPS practitioner learning more of the intricacies of how to apply the GAPS diet (which is a diet designed to heal the gut and therefore a myriad of gut related issues) to individual circumstances.
2016- 2017 : Integrative Health Coach Training – The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
During my training with IIN, I studied over 100 dietary theories including Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, Auto-immune Paleo (AIP), raw, vegan, Low Carb High Fat (LCHF), macrobiotics, and everything in between. One of the keys to my approach is helping you to determine the diet and nutritional approach that suits you, your body and circumstances the best (I call this bio-individuality). An approach that will lead to enhanced health and wellbeing. I also spent many hours learning how to expertly guide you to make lasting changes that have the potential to not only transform your health but other areas of your life as well.
2016 – 2017 : Integrative Health Coaching training – The MINDD organisation (https://mindd.org/)
This included receiving professional training by world leaders in Functional Medicine. I have also attended the annual MINDD International Forum for the past 4 years. This gave me the opportunity to absorb all of teaching I could on getting to the root cause of health issues, nutritional deficiencies and how to begin addressing them, particularly by healing the gut and using the power of food as medicine.
2019 -present : Masters in Holistic Nutrition
In 2019 I commenced a Masters in Holistic Nutrition by correspondence with Hawthorn University in the USA.
2018 : Advanced GAPS practitioner training
At the end of 2018 I completed Advanced GAPS practitioner training. This allowed me to further hone my skills in leading people of all ages through the GAPS Nutritional Protocol.
2019: MINDD International Forum – Practitioner Training
2019: Certified Instructor of The Mad Food Science Program
